Grandpa Ludwig had his birthday in April and here are some fun pics with Jamie and Kennedy. I was gone on a church retreat and didn't get in on the fun. They all had a great time, though.

The Kleinmans are heading back to MN in the next couple of weeks. Had a chance for some last pictures at their house. Only 3 days on the market and it's now SOLD. Congrats! Last night we had a great time at the farewell party. It was great to see friends from St. Louis (Thanks Wood's and Steele's for making it) and of course our other friends, too. We are going to miss them a lot but know they're just a car-ride and phone call away. Can't wait to visit this summer. Good luck to Randy at his new job and have fun Karen shopping for a new house! Whoo Hoo! :o)

The Kleinman girls and our boys made it to the library for our pbs station's present-
ation of Steve's Songs and Super Why was there, too. Fun! The kids started melting down at the end so we had to leave before the last song. Great show, though!

Watchin' the Flush

 
 
I hear this loud noise while the boys are outside and as I go out, I see them sitting on the utility box watching the city flushing out the hydrant. They had a good time watching the flood hit our street.

Taten has a new word and IT IS FUNNY!!

Last night we were watching TV. Taten tells me, "I have a BOOBY." I knew he couldn't of meant what he said so I went on to ask where? I realized he was trying to say he had a "BOO BOO", an ouchy. That's funny right there, I don't care who you are. :o)

Forget toys! Baskets for racecars are better!

 
 
 
The pics say it all. I think I'm going to hold a garage sale for the toys (just kidding). Today the boys are outside with their sled and riding down the slide. The weather is great.

My piano has been violated :o(

 
Found out Gavin marked up my piano as I sat down to practice for bible study. Of course, it was with permanent marker and you could tell where he tried to wipe it off probably with saliva on his fingers. After some investigating and hairspray, I was able to remove about 95% of it. I also didn't want my students to see it as they sat to play for lessons. I was just telling my best friend today, despite trials in parenting, our lives would just be plain boring without kids.

Here's a pic of my sleeping cherub, Taten, yesterday morning. He woke up at 3am yesterday (I'm assuming from a dream) and was just angry. After arguing with him to go back to sleep (which took about 30 minutes) and telling him he wasn't getting anything to drink but water, he settled down in our room. Oh well. I was to wake up at 6am to meet a friend for exercise, and Gavin had to get up early for school. I didn't care where he went at that point as long as he was fast asleep. Then he got up at 7:45a and never took his afternoon nap. Good times . . .

Taten cracked me up today. He came out with his Diego sunglasses upside down and wanted to play a video game. Of course, I couldn't get him out of his jammies either. On another note, after we brought Gavin home from school, we went outside to enjoy the day. Gavin has been into roller skating since they offered it during PE. He didn't waste anytime and was out the door. I think he's a heart attack on wheels since, when he's fallen a few times, I'm holding my breath not knowing if it was ok or a bad spill. Oh well . . .

I found this pic in our file and just had to post it. Grandma had lunch with Gavin one day last fall and joined him briefly at the playground. They had a great time and Grandma Roberta even joined in on the fun. Gavin loves the monkey bars. :o)
